An accident occurred after a Buscar bus which was travelling from Nairobi collided with a lorry coming from Mombasa before bursting into flames. 9 people died on the spot and 20 others injured in the road accident which occurred at Civicon area, near Emali, Makueni County. Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has been arrested in Nairobi. The governor who is being accused of corruption and abuse of office is currently at the EACC offices, Integrity Centre. Leading Photo-sharing social network Instagram has followed Facebook’s lead and has now quietly launched ‘Instagram Lite’ app for Android, in a bid to attract more users in developing countries with slow internet connectivity. Zimbabwe National Rugby team, Sables players, were forced to spend their night on Tunis streets in Tunisia in protest of their poor accommodation and lack of proper pay. Noordin Haji, the Director of Public Prosecutions has approved the prosecution of Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong’ and nine other county officials for the loss of Sh.20 million. The officials, Haji says will face charges of abuse of office and flouting procurement procedures. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) investigators found that the county boss’ office had single sourced a waste management tender to Madam R Limited.
