President Uhuru Kenyatta has sacked 14 more Principal Secretaries alongside Tourism PS, Farma Hersi. The President is said to have made the decision to fire all the 15 PS’s who had not been named in his second-term Cabinet in January. Through the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, the Principal secretaries were informed that they had not been reconsidered for re- appointment. The Judiciary Human Resources Acting Director L. A Onyango has announced the suspension of medical cover for all judges and Judicial workers due to lack of funds from the National Treasury. In a memo to the staff, Onyango advised workers to take advantage of the services provided under NHIF cover, since the cover provided by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) will not be available as from June 7. “This is to inform all judges, judicial officers and staff that the judiciary medical services have been suspended effective June 7 due to insufficient funds,” said Onyango. The Lake Victoria South Water Services Board launched a Sh.2.1 billion water and sanitation project financed by the African Development Bank (ADB), meant to ensure proper sanitation in the region. Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives are looking into the continued stay of PS Youth Affairs Lilian Omollo who has been charged with abuse of office, conspiracy to commit economic crimes at the Kenyatta National Hospital private wing. Chief Magistrate Julius Ng’arnga’r of Kisumu Court has ruled in favor of woman, Antonina Akinyi, ordering Aga Khan hospital to pay her Ksh3 million in damages for negligence back in 2015. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) on Wednesday imposed operating restrictions to twenty nine Air Operator Certificate (AOC) holders and fifteen Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMO) that had not completed their certification. Director General Captain Gilbert Kibe noted that the restricted operators will have their operations limited to within the boundaries and AMOs to only offer their services to air operators that conduct domestic operations. “The authority is mandated under the Civil Aviation to regulate the aviation industry in Kenya. Missing Fly-SAX plane has been found, Elephant Hills, south west of the Aberdares. The Cessna C208 plane went missing on Tuesday evening after it lost contact with the control tower while flying from Kitale to Nairobi.
