At least 150 Moi University students were on Friday night arrested in Eldoret. The students were attending an illegal party but at an unlicensed club. Confirming the incident was Eldoret West OCPD Samwel Mutunga who said that the students were apprehended for being disorderly. Justice Joseph Louis Ongutu has died. The High Court judge collapsed at the Parklands Sports Club gymnasium on Thursday evening before being rushed to MP Shah where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Confirming the commercial division judge’s passing was Kenya Judges and Magistrates Association Secretary General Derrick Kuto. He said that the deceased passed on after a gym session at the club. A University of Nairobi (UoN) law student was allegedly drugged and abandoned in a thicket near Mang’u High School. A man believed to be one of the perpetrators has been arrested as two others remain at large. Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi was allegedly being trailed by flying squad officers and was stopped at the Museum Hill.
