The national carrier, Kenya Airways (KQ) will starting June expand its wings to Cape Town, South Africa. KQ will be offering non-stop flights to Cape Town with the first flight scheduled for June 6, 2018. Boeing 737-800 aircraft will operate this nonstop sector 3 times a week. Police officers are apparently at Nation Media Group’s head office with orders for the arrest of the Managing Editor, Linus Kaikai. Kaikai says that he is yet to establish the reasons for his arrest. Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s Karen home was on Tuesday night attacked by unknown gunmen. The men arrived in a private car, drove past the entrance and fired shots before hurling a grenade into the the compound. The Communications Authority on Tuesday morning switched off a number of television stations; Citizen TV and radio, Inooro TV, KTN and NTV. It is not clear why CA officials switched off Citizen TV’s ADN signals at the Limuru station, Managing Director, Wachira Waruru said but assured Kenyans that they were working on resuming normal transmission shortly. Uhuru Park is no longer a ‘no-go zone’ after police officers manning the area were withdrawn allowing NASA supporters make their way into the grounds. The officers were asked to leave in order to avoid confrontations between themselves and the opposition supporters who are awaiting the arrival of their leaders.
