At least 120 youths from the Sonko Rescue Team on Tuesday protested outside the Nairobi Governor’s city hall offices. Deputy Governor West Pokot county, Nicholas Atudonyang’ has been accused of threatening a woman with a gun and at some point choked her at a local joint. A woman was on Friday handed a six month jail sentence after she was found to have deliberately refused to refund Sh27,140 sent to her via M-Pesa. The court ruled that Margaret Njeri serves six months in jail or pays a Sh40,000 fine. Njeri is said to have received the money from Richard Mbui from Embu county.
