Chief Justice David Maraga has said spoken against continued attacks on the Judiciary ever since annulling the presidential election on September 1. A student was on Monday arrested with papers believed to be for this year’s KCSE examination. The Kitondo Boys’ student had with him images on a WhatsApp account. Confirming the incident, Mbooni East OCPD Peter Njeru said the images were forwarded to the KNEC headquarters for further scrutiny. The boy was taken to Mbumbuni police station where he is being held. “We have confiscated the phone [and sent the content] to the KNEC CEO in Nairobi for further investigations. Hundreds of Jubilee supporters on Tuesday protested outside the Supreme Court accusing the judges of unfairly annulling President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win. The protesters have said that the court should have ordered for a re-count before overturning the presidential election. The protests come amid allegations of Justice Isaac Lenaola and Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu colluding with Siaya Senator James Orengo and Moses Wetangula to have Kenyatta’s win taken from him. Three Bomet county residents moved to court challenging Bomet Governor, Dr Joyce Laboso’s August win. The three voters filed the case at the High Court with the intention of having her win nullified as was President Uhuru Kenyatta’s. A petition has been filed with the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) seeking removal from office of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu and Justice Isaac Lenaola Derrick Ngumu, executive director of Angaza Empowerment Network, has accused the judges of gross misconduct. Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja has never been a student at the Kenyatta University, the institution has revealed. The University has said that the county boss presented a forged certificate during the August 8 election. 15 people were arrested in Temeke Hospital in Tanzania’s capital on Thursday while trying to donate blood for the shot Singida Mp, Tundu Lissu. The donors who are members of the Chadema party are said to have been apprehended without reason and were not charged. King of Ohangla, Tony Nyadundo has been accused of roughing up a clinical officer at the Migori District Hospital on Wednesday night. Nyadundo, 49 is said to have been drunk and disorderly. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has suspended the Matatu ban from the city’s Central Business District (CBD) area for 30 days. Doctors on Monday officially registered a signed CBA between the union and the county governments.
