15 people were arrested in Temeke Hospital in Tanzania’s capital on Thursday while trying to donate blood for the shot Singida Mp, Tundu Lissu.

The donors who are members of the Chadema party are said to have been apprehended without reason and were not charged.

The blood drive was meant to help Lissu who is receiving treatment in Nairobi’s Aga Khan Hospital where he contracted a chest infection.

There is an ongoing fundraiser started by Tanzanians in the diaspora.

The legislator was before the attempt on his life a fierce critic of President John Magufuli.
