IEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati has said that he will not resign from the commission but has asked the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko to investigate the individuals responsible for the irregularities noted by the Supreme Court Judges. Siaya Senator and lead counsel in the just concluded Presidential petition, James Orengo has asked that the IEBC be disbanded. Speaking at the Supreme Court, Orengo said that they could not trust the current electoral commission to conduct the fresh polls as ordered by the court. The Supreme Court will on Friday at 11 am deliver its ruling on the NASA presidential ruling. The petitioners, Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka contested the Uhuru Kenyatta win. Kenyatta was declared the duly elected President by the IEBC having beaten Odinga by at least 1.4 million votes. The word ‘conscientiously’ means to be wishing to do what is right, especially to do one’s work or duty well and thoroughly. Former Bungoma Governor, Kenneth Lusaka was on Thursday elected Speaker of the Senate. Coming a close second was Farah Maalim with 23 votes in the first round of voting against Lusaka’s 40 votes. Budalangi Member of Parliament, Raphael Wanjala has expressed his disappointment in the new Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) medical scheme that now covers an Mp or Senator and only one spouse.
