The police have in their custody two people who they believe were connected to IEBC ICT manager, Chris Msando’s murder. Director of Criminal Investigations, Ndegwa Muhoro on Thursday said that the court had granted them custodial orders to help them complete the ongoing investigations. ”We have in our custody two suspects who are under investigation for the murder. Kura Yangu Sauti Yangu, a coalition of civil society organizations has declared that it has found ‘important contradictions and massive anomalies in the electoral numbers released by the IEBC’ in the just concluded poll. The umbrella has under it, Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC), AfriCOG among others. In their findings, the group notes that the voter turn out was 15,073,662 against 15,518,971 that was streaming on the television screens. The police on Wednesday said that their investigations into IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando’s murder has hit a dead end. Officers looking into the case have so far questioned six people they believe were connected to his death. The police said the investigations slowed down because of the just concluded August poll but said that they were still looking for four other people that could potentially help in speeding the investigations. Police officers on Wednesday disrupted a peaceful meeting being held by Mathare residents. The officers who were in plain clothes and are well known to the residents stormed the meeting and asked the people to head on home. “We know some of the officers. EACC Chairman, Eliud Wabukala has said that all governors will have to sign an anti-corruption agreement with the institution before taking office.
