The Media Council of Kenya has on Wednesday announced the appointment of David Omwoyo as the Chief Executive Officer replacing Dr Haron Mwangi. Mr Omwoyo was the Managing Director of Waumini Communications Limited and the Director of Communications for the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops. Nakumatt employees have sued their employer over unpaid salaries, not paying them for overtime worked and for not implementing an 11 per cent salary increment as agreed upon in a May 1, 2017 CBA. Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on Tuesday commended the peaceful voting in the recent presidential election in Kenya. Samantha Pendo, the 6 month old baby hit by police during violent protests in Kisumu after Uhuru Kenyatta’s win, has succumbed to her injuries. Carol Ngumbu, 21 year old KMTC student found dead alongside slain IEBC ICT manager, Chris Msando was finally laid to rest. The young lady was strangled to death as was Msando.
