NASA presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga has refused to concede defeat. Raila has so far garnered 6,310,940 million votes which translates into 44.7% of the votes. According to him, the IEBC has not shown his team the 34B forms which they are using to transmit results to their website. The opposition leader has however said that he does not have control over his supporters should they cause chaos. Machakos Governor, Alfred Mutua is headed for a term in office as he takes an early lead against his Wiper Party opponent, Wavinya Ndeti. With 1141 polling stations having tallied their results, Mutua has garnered 209,715 votes against Wavinya’s 174,468 votes. A police helicopter has made an emergency landing in Migori county on Tuesday evening. The occupants escaped unhurt, said county Police Commandant, Joseph Nthenge. Police say the chopper, model 5Y-SFA, was flying to Migori when it developed a mechanical problem that a team from Nairobi could not fix. Kiambu governor, William Kabogo was in what seemed like a heated exchange with the Kabete Mp, Ferdinand Waititu. In the video that has gone viral, Waititu takes shots at Kabogo over his education background. The vocal Kabete legislator said that the incumbent could speak in English but could not write. A man died hours after casting his vote shortly after collapsing in Lela polling station in Kobura ward, Nyando constituency. Patrick Odoyo  died at Ahero cub-county hospital where he died five hours after getting there. His remains have since been taken to the mortuary. Wafula Chebukati, IEBC Chairman says three returning officers have been replaced over delays in Embakasi East, Westlands and Kasarani constituencies. The hotly contested August 8 election is upon us and the exercise kicked off at 6am in most parts of the country. The young and old all came out in large numbers to exercise their democratic right. Suspected Al Shabaab militants on Tuesday morning hijacked two cars believed to have been ferrying voters to their respective polling stations in Mandera county. The cars were hijacked between Omar Jillo and Lafey. The cars were identified as a Probox and a Land Cruiser by the North Eastern regional commissioner, Mohamud Saleh. Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho on Monday evening claimed that 20 officers from the DMI unit have been deployed to the county. Kiambu governor, William Kabogo on Monday stormed the IEBC offices accusing the officials of colluding with Kabete Mp, Ferdinand Waititu to rig him out. Kabogo claimed that the officials were having a meeting with the area aspirants but intentionally locked him out of the meeting that was held at Kiambu Institute of Science and Technology.
