Two police officers were on Thursday killed and four others injured after an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) tore their vehicle along the Malelei-Kulan Road in Liboi, Garissa County. Two of those injured were airlifted to Nairobi for treatment following the 7 am blast. Police at the scene said the injured had life threatening injuries. The officers were patrolling in a vehicle belonging to immigration department when the incident happened. Kenya Red cross officials operating in the area said there were five people feared to have been killed in the blast that tore apart the vehicle that the officers were using.…

A Nigerian man was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly raping a student at a university hostel in Nairobi. The man who is 19-years-old went into hiding right after defiling the 18 year old United States International University (USIU) female student. He was arrested at 7 pm on Wednesday after going into hiding for a week. Kenya Airways has cut its losses by 61 percent in 2017 to hit Sh10.2 billion compared to the Sh26 billion it recorded in 2016. Civil society activists have blacklisted 20 politicians they say should not be allowed to contest in the upcoming elections over integrity issues. The Kenya Integrity Alliance on Wednesday said the politicians should be barred fro vying for elective posts. Three police officers have been killed after their vehicle run over a landmine in Liboi. The incident happened seven kilometers from Kulan shopping center. The Administration Police officers were traveling to Garissa when the incident occurred in Kulan area, according to Regional coordinator Mohamud Saleh.
