Tob Cohen’s widow Sarah Wairimu is now demanding details of all calls and SMS sent by 23 individuals, including Prsident Uhuru Kenyatta’s first cousin Ngengi Muigai. Also, Ms Wairimu is demanding the phone data of Mr Muigai’s wife Wangui Ngengi and Captain Muigai Kungu, also a cousin of the President. A counter-check of fingerprints of Kenyan stowaway Paul Manyasi alias Cedric Shivonje sent by the Metropolitan Police in London, UK failed to identify him, it has emerged. According to reports by the BBC, the fingerprints were submitted to the Kenyan Interpol but the analysis turned negative. “Yes, fingerprints were taken and sent through the National Crime Agency to Interpol, Nairobi. The court has faulted the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for failing to disclose witness statements and evidence on Tob Cohen murder case from Sarah Wairimu, one of the main suspect. The National Police Service (NPS) has interdicted four policemen filmed clobbering a Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT) student. Kenyans will have to dig deeper to quench their thirst as from tomorrow, November 13 following the implementation of new excise duty on bottled water and other non-alcoholic beverages. In a public notice, the Kenya Revenu Authority indicated that the Excisable Goods Management System (EGMS) will go live tomorrow, a move that will see the price of bottled water, juices, energy drinks, soda and any other non-alcoholic beverage hiked.
