The government has sent a team of experts to Cuba to investigate the exchange programme of Kenyan doctors on scholarship in the Caribbean nation. This was after one of the beneficiaries of the exchange program, Ali Juma, allegedly committed suicide last Sunday under unclear circumstances. The government has revealed that it is seeking another loan of Ksh368 billion to help in the completion of the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR). A dormitory at St Joseph’s Girls High School, Kitale came under fire at mid-day on Wednesday destroying property whose value is yet to be determined. This was after another fire razed down a different dormitory on Tuesday night that left a number of students hospitalized. The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji has filed an appeal on the bond terms given to former National Land Commission chairman Muhammad Swazuri.
