Gospel singer, Jimmy Gait has finally received his medical results which are a sigh of relief for him and his fans. In his new update video, Gait affirmed that he doesn’t have throat cancer as was initially claimed and that he needed not to have any surgery as well. President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed former Deputy Controller of Budget, Stephen Masha, as the new budget controller following the exit of Agnes Odhiambo whose term ended on Monday. It’s an end of an era for Auditor General Edward Ouko as his position is declared vacant. In a gazette notice signed by President Uhuru Kenyatta,  applicants who are interested in the position will have until September 9 to submit their entries to the Public Service Commission. Media personality Davies Mwabili, popularly known as Inspekta Mwala, is reported to have run over a pedestrian in Kilifi County. According to Kilifi Police Commander Patrick Okeri, Mwala hit the 35-year-old man killing him on the spot. Police in Wajir South has arrested two chiefs been arrested for falsifying census figures through the double listing of households. According to reports, the Central chief in Habaswein, Wajir South constituency, his assistant and the Leheley chief were arrested on Monday after investigations revealed that they were involved in the malpractice. Over 200 enumerators in Kilifi County have staged a strike on Tuesday over their unpaid allowances. According to the enumerators, the government is yet to pay them training allowances amounting to Ksh2,100. The irate enumerators further rejected calls for dialogue by Mtwapa area chief Rose Kadenge. The prosecution has lined up 67 witnesses in the graft case against Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, his wife Susan Waititu and 11 others.
