Liquid Telecom has announced the launch of a new retail brand called Hai. The retail arm is touted as the new Liquid managed ISP brand for Africa’s retail market. According to information sent to media houses, the Hai brand will be able to design and offer Internet access solutions to households and SMEs, including its flagship 100Mbps FTTH Fibroniks Service. A Kenyan gay couple has reportedly escaped the country after being the first such couple to openly marry in kenya. Lutheran pastor Edwin Sikot and his boyfriend Isaiah are said to be living in a cave after marrying in February. The couple are now looking for asylum in Zanzibar which they say is safer for them. There are strong rumours in the business cycles in Nairobi that Deputy President William Ruto is planning to acquire the struggling former telecommunication giant Telkom Kenya. Boeing has now refused to handover a 787 Dreamliner plane to the KQ team which went to collect the plane saying that The Pride of Africa has no financial capacity to sustain its appetite for fleet expansion.
