A one-year-old boy was killed in a fire incident in Etago area, Kisii County. His brother aged four was rescued in the Friday December 5 incident. Police said the parents of the children had locked them therein and left to a local market for errands. The fire broke out burning down the house and the child. At least 11 people have been killed in a mass shooting at a hostel in South Africa. Fourteen others were wounded when gunmen stormed the venue in Saulsville township, west of the capital Pretoria, early on Saturday. An 11-year-old boy has become a Guinness World Record holder after displaying a talent for video game developing. Max, from Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, spent four hours developing a game with five unique levels during his record attempt in May. A raid on a house in Kariobangi South, Nairobi, saw the recovery of assorted vehicle number plates. This followed claims that stolen vehicles were ending up in the area. A police officer was Friday stabbed and killed during an operation to arrest murder suspects in Matisi area, Kitale’s Trans Nzoia County. Five police officers were pursuing a wanted murder suspect in the area on Friday night when the drama turned tragic leaving constable Patrick Ouma with fatal stab wounds in the neck. A Kenya Defence Forces soldier was found dead after a suspected suicide incident in Bukati village, Butula, Busia County. Officials said the incident happened on Friday December 5. The deceased was identified as senior sergeant Patrick Asala Bwibo, 53 and who was attached to the Kenya Navy in Mombasa. The motive was not immediately known, officials who attended the scene said.
