At least 13 people were killed in a huge fire that has engulfed multiple high-rise buildings in Hong Kong’s Tai Po district. At least 15 people were injured, authorities said in a news conference on Wednesday night. A 23-year-old shop attendant was stabbed and killed in a robbery incident in Kasagam area, Kisumu County. Police said Rogers Odero was fatally stabbed as he argued with suspected thugs who had snatched his mobile phone. Authorities have withdrawn the official security detail of Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya. Natembeya said that security officers manning his home and the guards attached to him were withdrawn on Wednesday, 12:00 am. There was however no explanation offered to him over the developments. Police are investigating an incident where a reveler drowned in a swimming pool at the Travelers Beach Hotel, Mombasa, while on a swimming expedition. The incident disrupted the man’s holiday. Police and the hotel management said the victim, identified as Benson Muthee Karimi, 43, had checked there on November 21 with his wife and two children for five days. Detectives are investigating an incident where two children were burnt to death in a fire tragedy in their house in the Pesi, Aberdare, Nyandarua County. The boy and girl were aged five and three, respectively. The fire broke out on Monday night after their mother had left them in their wooden house. Two men who including a cleaner, were electrocuted as they cleaned a swimming pool in the Mirema Drive area, Nairobi. The cleaner had been hired from a nearby car wash to help in the work when the incident happened on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 afternoon. The body of a man was found dumped on the roadside after his murder in Juja, Kiambu County. The body was discovered on Tuesday long after the murder.
