US President Donald Trump has issued an executive order calling for all federal funding to the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR) to be blocked. On Thursday evening, Trump alleged that both organisations have engaged with “biased and partisan news coverage”. A 25-year-old man was burnt to death in a fire incident in Ngawaini area, Nyeri County. Police said Solomon Keya was in his house when the incident happened on April 30, 2025 at about 9 pm. His body was burnt beyond recognition in a three-roomed timber house, police said.
