Two weeks ago, Education CS George Magoha released the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results. Magata Bruce Mackenzie emerged as the top candidate with 428 marks out of the possible 500. The second candidate was Momanyi Ashley Kerubo from Makini School with 427 marks. Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko now seeks to be the Governor of Mombasa County under the Wiper Party ticket. DCI sleuths have arrested notorious scammer, Bob Nyongesa who poses as a white woman Ryan Britney to defraud Kenyans. Nyongesa is said to have obtained Sh150,000 fraudulently from a man who was selling his car online through a popular site. Six family members have perished in a suspected arson attack in Kandara, Murang’a County, authorities have confirmed. The six included a mother, her three children and two grandchildren. According to authorities, the house was set ablaze from the outside as there was no way those who were trapped inside could have escaped. Four police officers are in custody for alleged involvement in corruption, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has announced. The spouse of Mombasa politician Ali Mwatsau has spoken for the first time following the assassination attempt on her husband’s life. Midred Odinga now says the attack on her husband was politically instigated and the police have shown laxity in probing the matter. Police are investigating an incident where a 40-year-old man from Nandi murdered his wife and three kids before surrendering to the authorities. Philip Lokuruen confessed to killing his wife, Rispa Chelimo aged 35 and three children namely Ian Kipkosgei 11, Brenda Cheruto 9 and Linus Kipkosgei 7.
