Capital Fm, NRG Radio are among 60 stations whose frequencies risk being revoked over non-compliance, the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has announced. Through a statement by the CA Director General Ezra Chiloba, the 60 radio stations failed to comply with the licence offer within the period stipulated by the authority. A Siaya Court has sentenced two men who killed a boda boda rider caught up in a love triangle to life imprisonment. According to the DCI, the incident dates back to 2018 where Ronald Otieno was run over by a car in the case of murder most foul. Former Laikipia North MP Mathew Lempurkel has been released on Sh100,000 cash bail pending the appeal ruling on his assault case. The lawmaker had been sentenced to one year behind bars for assaulting nominated MP Sarah Korere in 2016. About two weeks ago, 26-year old Juja-based medic Joseph Kariuki was lured and murdered inside his private clinic. New details emerging reveal that the medic’s murder could have been a case of love gone sour with four suspects being held for the same. A Teacher at Magemo Primary School in Webuye, in Bungoma County, has set himself on fire after he was dismissed for impregnating his pupil. Kenya has confirmed 943 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours after 5,787 samples were tested. The country’s cumulative caseload is now at 258,557. 36-year-old Dennis Njeru, a Kirinyaga Assistant Chief has been fatally stabbed following domestic wrangles with his wife. Reports indicate that the assistant chief died in his kitchen at around 10 PM. Emmanuel Ian Osome, a man who defrauded his landlord with edited M-Pesa messages has been released on Sh200,000 cash bail while awaiting trial.
