The Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) has given a seven-day ultimatum for the removal and disposal of a grounded barge off the Nyali coast in Mombasa. West Pokot County has the lowest number of people owning mobile phones and using the internet, a new report shows. According to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) 2023/2024 Kenya Housing Survey, only 29% of people in West Pokot own a mobile phone, while just 9.1% use the internet. In contrast, Nairobi leads the country with 67.7% mobile phone ownership and 64.7% internet usage.
