A public participation exercise on the Data Protection Bill that was set to take place in Nanyuki, Laikipia County, on Friday did not happen, Kahawa Tungu has learnt. A family in Nyandarua County was recently forced to ferry a casket carrying the remains of their loved one on a cart (Mkokoteni) due to the poor state of the feeder roads in the region. The High Court has ordered Olympic High School to reinstate a Form One student, who was denied admission in January for having dreadlocks. In a ruling delivered on Friday, Justice Chacha Mwita ruled that Rastafarianism is a religion, whose practices, including growing of dreadlocks, shouldn’t be discriminated in public institutions such as schools. Two people have reportedly been killed and a number injured after a perimeter wall collapsed on houses in Industrial area, Nairobi, on Thursday. According to a police report seen by Kahawa Tungu, the gunmen ambushed the crew that was escorting the cash at Odda airstrip at around 1.30pm before making away with the money that had been delivered by air.
