The government has suspended all capital expenditure in state corporations and Semi-Autonomous Agencies (SAGA) in a move directed at the alignment of the 2019/2020 Budget towards support for the Jubilee Government’s Big Four Agenda, Kahawa Tungu has learnt. Police are holding two suspects arrested at Kamulu in Kayole Nairobi for drug trafficking. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the two were nabbed on Thursday during a raid that saw police recover over 400 kilograms of bhang and 19 motor-vehicle number plates. The suspects have been identified as James Oluoch, 30, and 45-year-old Isaac Odhiambo. “The recoveries have been secured as exhibits and further investigations are ongoing,” DCI wrote on Twitter. Former Kerio Valley Development Authority Managing Director (KVDA) David Kimosop has been arrested over the Arror-Kimwarer multibillion dam scandal. Detectives arrested him on Friday morning at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) as he returned into the country from Tanzania. Former Nairobi County Deputy Governor Jonathan Mweke has weighed on the ruling by the anti-corruption court that former county’s Finance minister Jimmy Kiamba is in possession of unexplained assets.
