Three people have been arrested after they were found with fake Ksh100,000 notes in Embu. Embu North Sub-county Commander Godfrey Kere said the suspects were nabbed following a tip-off from members of the public. A real estate firm seeking approval to set up a Ksh80 million ecolodge at Ngong Forest is yet to submit crucial documents to the Kenya Forest Services (KFS). This was revealed on Thursday by KFS Chief Conservator Officer for forests Julius Kimani. According to reports by Nation, the group which was recruited by an unlicensed firm in Mombasa, is being forced to work at gunpoint without pay. The government has ordered Safaricom and Airtel telecommunication companies to withdraw the paybill numbers of 27 betting firms operating in the country over failure to meet renewal requirements. Top betting firms that have been affected by the directive include SportPesa, Betin and Betway.
