Kisumu Chief Magistrate Julius Ngarngar has disqualified himself from hearing Nandi Governor Stephen Sang’s case over the destruction of tea bushes at Kibwari tea estate in Nandi hills. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Monday night seized 580 bags of Zambian sugar in Narok County. According to the DCI, the officers suspect the sugar was in the country illegally for contravening custom duty and tax collection laws. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations’s Special Crime have launched a manhunt for City lawyer Assa Nyakundi who is accused of killing his son, Joseph Nyakundi, after the court issued a warrant of arrest against him. Nyakundi, who is out on bail after he denied charges levelled against him, failed to appear in court on Thursday.
