Another rhino has died as it was being relocated from Nairobi National Park to Tsavo East bringing the count to 10.
The tenth of the 11 rhinos is said to have suffered from dehydration, bacterial infection and gastric ulcers just like the other nine that died a few weeks ago after translocation.
Reports also indicate that the only surviving rhino is injured after being attacked by a lion.
Tourism CS Najib Balala has following the death interdicted 6 Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officials accusing them of being careless.
The CS has also noted that the deaths could have also been caused by weather and environmental conditions which were not taken into consideration when relocating the rhinos.
