Detectives are investigating the murder of a two-year-old boy whose body was found dumped in an estate in Njiru, Nairobi.
The body was found abandoned at Shamrah Plaza in the area long after his murder.
Police said the victim was killed elsewhere and the body was later transported and abandoned at the scene. The motive of the December 26, 2025 incident is yet to be known.
The body was picked up to the mortuary pending an autopsy and identification.
And in Matungulu, Machakos County, a body was found stuffed in a sack and floating on River Athi.
The body seemed to have been dumped elsewhere before it was swept downstream to the area in Ndivo village.
Police said the body had visible head injuries and the man was identified as Michael Wahinya, 68. He had sometimes back been involved in wrangles with his family who chased him out of their compound, locals said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Police said they are investigating the murder.
Elsewhere in Mbakalo, Bungoma County, one Amis Shikuku, 61 was killed by his son in a domestic fight.
The man was hacked and killed in his house on Christmas Day. The body was found lying with multiple head injuries inflicted by a sharp object in the Nzoia village.
The two had quarreled before the 29-year-old man pounced on him with a machete fatally injuring him in his house. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy even as police hunted for the assailant.
In Kinna area, Isiolo County, a middle-aged man was found murdered and his body dumped within Bakasa grazing fields.
The body had no identification documents and had visible stab wounds in the chest. The motive of the murder was not known.
