Gigandet’s acting career began in 2003 with a guest appearance on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
This debut paved the way for recurring roles in television shows like The Young and the Restless (2004) and Jack and Bobby (2005).
His breakout role came in 2005–2006 as Kevin Volchok, a rebellious surfer in the Fox teen drama The O.C., where he appeared in 15 episodes.
In 2007, Gigandet landed a pivotal role as the villainous Ryan McCarthy in the action drama Never Back Down, followed by his portrayal of the sadistic vampire James Witherdale in Twilight (2008).
These roles solidified his status as a versatile actor capable of playing antagonists with depth. His filmography expanded with notable projects like Pandorum (2009), Burlesque (2010), Easy A (2010), Priest (2011), and The Magnificent Seven (2016).
