Chief Justice Martha Koome has made a series of appointments to key tribunals, naming new chairpersons and members to serve in various dispute resolution bodies.
In a Gazette Notice dated June 26, 2026, the Chief Justice appointed Janet Mwatsama Mjeni as the Chairperson of the Co-operative Tribunal for a period of three years.
Koome also appointed Innocent Odhiambo Muganda as the Chairperson of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) for a non-renewable term of six years.
In addition, Godfrey Mutubia was appointed as the Chairperson of the Sugar Arbitration Tribunal for a three-year term.
The Chief Justice further appointed Francis Kariuki Kamau, Obok Olwa Owiyo, Elvis Mercy Wanjiru Mathai and Sylvester Ngacho Mukele as members of the Sugar Arbitration Tribunal. The four will each serve for a period of three years.
