    The Ministry of Interior and National Administration has announced a series of changes affecting Regional Commissioners and County Commissioners across the country.

    Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen said the reshuffle is aimed at enhancing service delivery and strengthening coordination of National Government functions.

    In a statement, Murkomen noted that the transfers and promotions were guided by the officers’ experience and strengths, with a focus on addressing emerging security and service delivery needs.

    “The transfers have taken into consideration the strengths and experiences of the officers as we address the various security and service delivery concerns,” he said.

    Regional Commissioners’ Changes

    Under the new changes, Rhoda Nyaboke Onyancha moves from Coast to Nairobi, while Paul Rotich has been transferred from Eastern to Coast.

    Samson Macharia Irungu has been moved from Western to the Office of the President Headquarters, while Flora Nkatha Mworoah has been transferred from Nyanza to the same headquarters.

    The ministry also announced promotions, with Jacob O. Muganda elevated from County Commissioner Meru to Regional Commissioner Eastern. Onesmus Musyoki Kyatha moves from County Commissioner Kakamega to Regional Commissioner Nyanza, while Allan Machari has been promoted from the Office of the President Headquarters to Regional Commissioner Western.

    Joshua Muriungi Nkanatha will remain in Central Region, John Odhiambo Otieno in North Eastern, and Dr. Abdi Mohammed Hassan in Rift Valley.

    County Commissioners’ Transfers

    In the changes affecting County Commissioners, Joseph Kibet Boen moves from Kiambu to Kilifi, while Stephen Kutwa Sangol has been transferred from Baringo to Lamu.

    Jeremiah Mwai Gicheru moves from Kericho to Tana River, John Kiprotich Cheruiyo from Samburu to Meru, Mwachaunga Mohamed Chaunga from Kisii to Machakos, and Shufaa Omar Mwijuma from Nyamira to Kirinyaga.

    Alason Hussein has been moved from Kirinyaga to Trans Nzoia, Wesley Koech Mabwai from Lamu to Baringo, and James Taari Rwaria from PA/RC North Eastern to Kakamega.

    Others include Benson David Leparmorijo, who moves from Kisumu to Nyamira; James Gatutha Kamau from Marsabit to Kisii; and Gideon Nyandiricha Oyagi from Trans Nzoia to the Office of the President Headquarters.

    David Kipkosgei Kiprop has been transferred from Isiolo to the Office of the President Headquarters, Josephine Auma Ouko from Machakos to the same headquarters, David Simiyu Wanyonyi from Kilifi to Headquarters, and Joseph Mwangi Wamuti from Tana River to Headquarters.

    Deployments

    The ministry also announced several deployments. Jackson Ngelai Olechuta moves from SDCC Molo to Garissa, Ronald O. Enyakasi from the Office of the President Headquarters to Wajir, and Stanley Ndungu Kamande from SDCC Borabu to Marsabit.

    Others include George Odhiambo Omolo from SDCC Nandi South to Isiolo, Isaac Keter Cheruiyot from SDCC Masinga to Samburu, George O. Matundura from SDCC Rongo to Kiambu, and Ali Omari from SDCC Kamukunji to Kericho.

    The changes take effect immediately.
