Disney and Formula 1 have announced that their global collaboration will officially begin at the Las Vegas Grand Prix this November. The partnership, first revealed in May, aims to combine Formula 1’s high-speed racing atmosphere with Disney’s world-famous storytelling and entertainment.
During the Grand Prix, Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto will make appearances throughout the event. For the first time, Mickey Mouse will lead a special live performance in front of the Fountains of Bellagio. The show, produced by Disney Live Entertainment, will include music and pyrotechnics designed to entertain race fans.
The Disneyland Band will also perform the national anthem on race day as part of celebrations marking 70 years since the opening of Disneyland. In addition, Mickey and Minnie are expected to participate in a community outreach event in Las Vegas that will bring Disney magic to local children.
Before the qualifying race, Mickey and Friends will join a special walk along the pitlane. Some fans with main grandstand tickets will get the opportunity to see racing teams at work behind the scenes.
Tasia Filippatos, President of Disney Consumer Products, said the collaboration is meant to unite fans of sports and entertainment. “The Disney brand represents the power of storytelling, creativity and connection,” she said. “We are thrilled to be uniting sports, pop culture and entertainment in a way that delivers an unforgettable experience for fans worldwide.”
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1 and CEO of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, said the partnership reflects shared values between the two brands. “The Fuel the Magic program will bring two iconic brands together to create memorable moments and experiences for fans of all ages,” she stated.
A new Disney x Formula 1 merchandise line will debut in early November. The collection blends Mickey & Friends designs with the sleek style of Formula 1. It will be available at the F1 Las Vegas Hub at the Venetian Resort beginning November 8, with select items also sold online on DisneyStore.com for North American customers.
Fans attending the Las Vegas Grand Prix or watching remotely can expect special digital content, behind-the-scenes features and storytelling experiences inspired by Disney. Race day is scheduled for November 22, 2025, and will be broadcast in the United States on ESPN and the ESPN app. International viewers will be able to watch through local Formula 1 broadcasters.
The Fuel the Magic campaign will continue through the 2026 and 2027 Formula 1 seasons, bringing more joint experiences to both racetracks and audiences at home.
