    Eric Kiraithe Congratulates New Gov’t Spokesman, Asserts He Is Up To Task

    Immediate former government Eric Kiraithe has spoken a few hours after he was replaced in his position by career military officer, Cyrus Oguna.

    Kiraithe spoke up congratulating the new government spokesman.

    He asserted that Oguna is well able to take up the task as they have previously worked together.

    Kiraithe stated: “It is my great pleasure and honour to welcome Oguna as the new government spokesman.

    “I have worked with Oguna in the past and can assure Kenyans that the colonel is equal to the task,” Kiraithe mentioned.

    In a statement issued on Tuesday, ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru noted that colonel Oguna has been appointed

    Oguna’s appointment takes immediate effect as the government rebuilds its communication structure.

    The colonel is now tasked to have the oversight role of all government communication channels under the ICT Ministry.

    The new government spokesman is noted to have held several positions within the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and government relating to the management of personnel, operations and communication.

    Kiraithe had held the position for the last five years.
