Gaming content creator Alex Cimo has died at the age of 32, more than a year after publicly revealing his diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer.
His wife, Bryttni, confirmed his passing in a social media post, saying he died suddenly on June 2. She described herself as “very raw” as she comes to terms with the loss.
Bryttni also raised concerns over how the news of his death was first shared publicly, noting that Alex’s mother, Mary-Frances Alonzo, had earlier posted about his passing on LinkedIn before later deleting the post.
According to Bryttni, Alex had expressed a wish that the announcement of his death be delayed for a short period, allowing the family time to process the loss privately before making it public.
Alex first revealed his cancer diagnosis in March 2025 and had since documented his health journey online, regularly updating followers about his condition and treatment. Just weeks before his death, he told fans he intended to continue fighting after doctors informed him he had only days to live.
Known for his passion for trading card games, Cimo built a strong online following of more than 350,000 fans, particularly through his “Yu-Gi-Oh!” gaming content and strategy videos.
