Newly elected Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni Wa Muchomba was vocal about SRC’s decision to cut the members’ of parliament pay.
In her defense she said she had invested in ‘human resource and wanted to be honored for who she was.’
The former Kameme Fm presenter said that in order for ‘people to work, you have to pay them well.’
Speaking to NTV, Gathoni compared parliamentary sitting allowance to other employees’ overtime pay.

She also took to Twitter to say that asking for a pay rise is not a crime.

However Kenyans on twitter did not run short of opinions in regard to her pay rise sentiments.
