    Giovanna Lancellotti Roxo is a prominent Brazilian actress born on May 21, 1993, in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil, with Italian heritage tracing back through her family roots.

    She spent her childhood in the nearby town of São João da Boa Vista before relocating to São Paulo in 2008 to pursue theater studies, marking the beginning of her dedicated path in the performing arts.

    At just 16 years old, she received emancipation from her parents, allowing her to independently navigate her budding career in entertainment.

    Known for her versatile roles in telenovelas, films, and streaming series, Lancellotti has become a recognizable figure in Brazilian media.

    Giovanna shares a close bond with her younger sister, Gabriela Lancellotti, often referred to as Gabi, who was born around 2003 and has gained her own following on social media through lifestyle and beauty content.

    Lancellotti’s career launched in 2011 with her debut role as Cecília in the TV Globo telenovela Insensato Coração, where her on-screen chemistry with co-star Jonatas Faro led to an extended contract with the network and widespread recognition.

    Building on this success, she portrayed Lindinalva in the 2012 remake of Gabriela, further establishing her as a rising talent in Brazilian television.

    Her theater debut and appearances in music videos, such as Banda Cine’s “Garota Radical” in 2009 and Pecatto’s “Sinais” in 2011, showcased her multifaceted abilities early on.

    Lancellotti continued to shine in telenovelas like Alto Astral in 2014 as Bélgica, A Regra do Jogo in 2015 as Luana, Sol Nascente in 2016 as Milena, and notably as the villain Rochele in Segundo Sol in 2018, demonstrating her range from comedic to antagonistic characters.

    Transitioning to film, she starred in projects including Entre Abelhas in 2015, Tudo Por Um Popstar in 2018, the Netflix romantic comedy Ricos de Amor in 2020 and its 2023 sequel, and the steamy thriller O Lado Bom de Ser Traída (known internationally as Burning Betrayal) in 2023, which garnered significant attention for its bold themes.

    Her expansion into streaming included the Netflix series Temporada de Verão in 2022, and she is set to lead in the upcoming Dona de Mim in 2025.

    Additionally, Lancellotti has lent her voice to dubbed versions of animated films, voicing Shank in Ralph Breaks the Internet in 2018 and Chelsea in Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken in 2023, while also featuring in music videos like Luan Santana’s “Te Esperando” in 2013.

    Lancellotti’s talent has been honored with several prestigious awards throughout her career, beginning with her breakthrough performance in Insensato Coração, for which she won the Melhor Atriz Revelação (Best New Actress) at the Melhores do Ano awards in 2011 and the Prêmio Arte Qualidade Brasil in 2012.

    Her role in Gabriela earned her the Prêmio Quem de Televisão for Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante (Best Supporting Actress) in 2013, solidifying her status as a compelling supporting player.

    Lancellotti has accumulated two wins and seven nominations overall, including nods for Revelação Feminina (Female Breakthrough) at the Prêmio Extra de Televisão in 2011, and Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante at the Prêmio Contigo! de TV in 2013 and 2015, as well as at the Melhores do Ano in 2018 for her work in Segundo Sol.

    More recently, in 2025, she received the Prêmio Empoderadas for her portrayal of Kami in Dona de Mim, recognized for its contribution to discussions on gender-based violence.
