Keeping your apps updated on a Samsung device ensures they run smoothly, stay secure, and have the latest features. Samsung smartphones use the Google Play Store and sometimes the Galaxy Store for app updates. Updating is a simple process, and you can even set apps to update automatically for convenience. Here is how to update apps on Samsung.

    1. Open the Google Play Store

Unlock your Samsung phone and tap on the Google Play Store icon. This is the main app store where most of your apps are downloaded and updated.

    1. Go to “Manage Apps and Device”

In the Play Store, tap your profile picture in the top right corner. From the menu, choose Manage apps and device to see if any apps need updating.

    1. Check for Available Updates

Under the “Updates available” section, you will find a list of apps that require updating. You can either tap Update All to refresh all apps at once or update them individually.

    1. Update via Galaxy Store (Optional)

Samsung also has the Galaxy Store, which updates Samsung-exclusive apps like Samsung Health or Samsung Notes. Open the Galaxy Store, tap the menu, and go to Updates to install any pending updates.

    1. Enable Automatic Updates

To save time, you can set apps to update automatically. In the Play Store, go to Settings > Network Preferences > Auto-update apps. Choose whether you want updates over Wi-Fi only or mobile data too.

If apps are not updating, check your internet connection, ensure you have enough storage, and confirm that your Google or Samsung account is signed in. Restarting your phone can also solve minor glitches.
