    Siblings

Jaeden is the oldest of four half-siblings from his father, Wes Lieberher.

His siblings are Sydney, Jovi, and Hayes. Jovi Lieberher, born on December 10, 2014, is the most publicly known of the three, largely due to her presence in family-related social media posts.

Sydney and Hayes maintain a lower profile, with limited information available about their personal lives.

Jaeden has expressed affection for his siblings, notably in a 2023 Instagram post celebrating Sydney’s birthday, where he wrote, “Happy birthday to my little brother, who’s going to be bigger than me very soon. Love you lots, Syd!”

The siblings share a father but have different mothers, and Jaeden’s close relationship with his mother, Angela, has shaped his upbringing alongside his half-siblings.

    Career

Martell’s acting career began at age nine with a role in the 2014 film St. Vincent, where he starred alongside Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy.

His performance as a precocious young boy earned early praise, setting the stage for more prominent roles.

In 2017, he gained widespread recognition for playing Bill Denbrough in the horror blockbuster It, based on Stephen King’s novel.

The film’s success, coupled with his poignant portrayal of a grieving leader among misfit kids, made him a household name.

He reprised the role in 2019’s It Chapter Two, appearing in flashbacks.

That same year, he starred as Jacob Thrombey in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, showcasing his ability to hold his own among an ensemble cast of industry veterans.

Other notable films include The Lodge (2019), Defending Jacob (2020), a legal drama series for Apple TV+, and Mr. Harrigan’s Phone (2022), another Stephen King adaptation.

In 2020, Martell was slated to star in Tunnels, playing the younger sibling of a gun violence victim, though the project remains uncompleted as of 2024.

    Accolades

For his role in It (2017), Martell was part of the ensemble nominated for a Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer.

His work in Knives Out (2019) contributed to the film’s numerous accolades, including a nomination for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes, though Martell himself was not individually nominated.

In 2018, he won the Las Vegas Film Critics Society’s Youth in Film award for his performances in It and The Book of Henry.

Additionally, his role in Defending Jacob garnered praise for its emotional intensity, with critics noting his ability to convey a teenager’s turmoil.
