    Career

Oleksiak played one season of college hockey at Northeastern University before returning to junior hockey.

He suited up for the Saginaw Spirit and later the Niagara IceDogs in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

He turned professional with the Dallas Stars organization, spending time with their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Texas Stars, where he excelled early on, earning AHL All-Star honors and contributing to a Calder Cup championship in 2014.

Oleksiak was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2018, where he enjoyed productive time and reached new career highs in games played and points.

He was traded back to Dallas later that season and continued his career there before being selected by the Seattle Kraken in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft.

He signed a five-year contract with Seattle and has since become a key part of their blue line, known for his size, reach, strength, and leadership.

Throughout his NHL journey, Oleksiak has played over 750 regular-season games, contributing steady defense, physical play, and occasional offensive production.
