    Early Life

Born on July 10, 1970, in Manchester, England, Jason Orange is the son of Tony and Jenny Orange. He has a twin brother, Justin, and grew up in the heart of a city famous for its music and dance culture. During his teens, he immersed himself in the Manchester breakdance scene as a member of the crew Street Machine. His group won the Manchester round of the UK Breakdancing Championship in 1985, marking his early emergence as a performer.

His talent as a dancer led him to television appearances, most notably on the music and dance show The Hit Man and Her. It was during these years that he met future bandmate Howard Donald.

    Joining Take That

In 1990, band manager Nigel Martin-Smith assembled a new male vocal group, Take That, recruiting Jason Orange alongside Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, and Robbie Williams. The group’s blend of polished vocals and high-energy dance routines quickly won them a massive following in the UK.

Take That’s debut album Take That & Party (1992) produced hits such as It Only Takes a Minute, A Million Love Songs, and Could It Be Magic. Their second album, Everything Changes (1993), catapulted them to superstardom, delivering a string of #1 singles and establishing them as one of Britain’s top pop acts. Jason not only danced and performed but also contributed to songwriting and occasionally took lead vocals.

    Breakup

The group’s third studio album, Nobody Else (1995), cemented their status with hits like Back for Good and Never Forget. At the peak of their fame, tensions began to rise—particularly surrounding Robbie Williams, who eventually left the group. In early 1996, the remaining members, including Orange, disbanded Take That, sending shockwaves through the pop world.

Despite the split, the band’s legacy continued to grow, with their record sales soaring and fan loyalty remaining strong—factors that would help boost Jason’s long-term earnings.

    Comeback

In 2005, Jason Orange reunited with the group (minus Robbie Williams) for a successful comeback. Their 2006 album Beautiful World marked a new era for the band, both musically and commercially. The follow-up albums The Circus (2008) and Progress (2010), the latter featuring Robbie Williams, became massive hits, further expanding the group’s legacy—and Orange’s net worth.

During this period, Take That won numerous BRIT and MTV Europe Music Awards, and they were even named Amazon’s top-selling music artist of all time.

    Private Life

In September 2014, Jason Orange announced his departure from Take That. He stated that there were no disputes within the group, but he simply no longer wished to be involved in touring, recording, or promoting music. His exit marked the end of an era, though he left on good terms.

Jason has largely stepped out of the spotlight since his departure. He has kept his personal life private, with past relationships including TV presenter Jenny Powell, model Kathy Lloyd, and actress Catherine Tate. Since then, he has remained elusive, living quietly away from public life.

    Acting Ventures

While best known for music, Jason has dabbled in acting. He starred in the British television thriller Killer Net in 1998 and took the lead role in the London stage production Gob in 1999. His brief return to television came in 2013 with a cameo on Shameless, but acting never became a major pursuit.
