Former Taita Taveta woman representative Joyce Lay is the latest victim of online scammers who use her profile to ask for money from unsuspecting friends.
The former legislator said that the latest message was sent to the speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi asking him for money.

She took to Facebook to warn members of the public against the scam and also asked any one who receives that message to contact her for confirmation before falling prey to the scam.
Joyce Lay said that the scam was a plot to embarrass her. She also said that the matter was under investigation.
Raila Odinga Junior son of the NASA coalition leader was also a victim of the online scam and also warned the public against sending money to the said con artists.
