The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has released the list of shortlisted candidates for vacant judge positions in the Court of Appeal, High Court and Environment and Land Court.
In a gazette notice dated November 14, 2025, the JSC announced that it has shortlisted 35 candidates for the Court of Appeal, 100 candidates for the High Court and 50 candidates for the Environment and Land Court.
The commission said interviews for the shortlisted candidates will take place from January 12, 2026 to March 23, 2026.
The interviews will be held at the JSC Boardroom on the 12th floor of the CBK Pension Towers along Harambee Avenue in Nairobi.
The vacancies were first advertised on June 9, 2025. The JSC invited qualified applicants to fill 15 positions in the Court of Appeal, two positions in the High Court and 10 positions in the Environment and Land Court.
When the application period closed on July 7, 2025, the commission had received a total of 714 applications.
