The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has announced a public meeting for all Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) and Air Operator Certificate (AOC) holders, focusing on aircraft certification and maintenance requirements.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, KCAA said the session will provide comprehensive regulatory updates, policy guidance, and technical oversight requirements relating to aircraft airworthiness and certification.

The meeting will cover key areas including aircraft certification processes, newly issued Technical Guidance Materials (TGMs), approval and oversight of Approved Maintenance Organizations and aviation workshops, as well as inclusion and capability extension procedures.

Other focus areas will include cross-border aircraft transfers and Cape Town Convention considerations, aging aircraft operations, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins, aircraft type training standards, and other critical airworthiness and safety-related matters.

According to the authority, the forum is aimed at strengthening regulatory compliance, promoting industry best practices, and enhancing aviation safety, airworthiness, and operational integrity across the sector.

“The forum aims to enhance regulatory compliance, promote industry best practices, and strengthen aviation safety, airworthiness, and operational integrity among stakeholders in Kenya and beyond,” KCAA said.

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 29, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. East African Time at the Argyle Grand Hotel.
