    Kenya Maritime Authority Advertises Wide Range of Job Opportunities

    The Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) has announced multiple job vacancies, inviting qualified and self-driven professionals to apply for various positions across its departments.

    In a notice issued on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the authority said it is seeking “highly competent, proactive and self-driven individuals” to strengthen maritime safety, regulation, and service delivery.

    Among the advertised positions are Assistant Director, Safety of Navigation & Investigation; Principal Legal Officer (Maritime Governance); Principal Surveyor (Maritime Investigation & Receiver of Wreck); Principal Ship Surveyor; Principal Surveyor (Maritime Security); Principal Surveyor (Navigation & Hydrography); Principal Auditor (Systems & Forensic Audit); Principal Resource Centre Officer; Principal Maritime Trade and Development Officer; Senior Maritime Transport Logistics Training Officer; Senior Ports & Shipping Services Officer; Ship Surveyor; Trainee Ship Surveyor; Marine Environment Officer; Surveyor (Maritime Security); and Surveyor (Navigation).

    Other available roles include Search and Rescue Officer, Merchant Shipping Fees Officer, Licensing & Seaborne Trade Officer, Maritime Labour Officer, Legal Officer (Maritime Governance), Office Administrator, Auditor, Surveyor (Seafarers Training Standards – Engineering), Supply Chain Management Officer, Accounts Assistant, Assistant Office Administrator, and Office Assistant.

    Interested applicants are required to submit applications online through the official recruitment portal https://recruitment.kma.go.ke:6443/, where full details of the vacancies are available.

    The authority said applicants must submit an application letter and a detailed curriculum vitae indicating academic and professional qualifications, work experience, professional memberships or licences where applicable, valid email addresses and telephone contacts, as well as copies of certificates, national identity card, and other supporting documents. All documents must be uploaded as guided in the online application system.

    Applications must be received on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026.

    For positions in Job Grade 5 to Job Grade 10, application letters must be addressed to the Director General, Kenya Maritime Authority, KMA Towers along Mbaraki Road (next to the Little Theatre), P.O. Box 95076–80104, Mombasa, and submitted strictly through the online portal as indicated.
