Legio Maria Faithful Under Instructions From ‘Holy Spirit’ Kill 64 Year Old Man

A 64 year old man from Rachuonyo sub county on Sunday succumbed to assault injuries at the Rachuonyo South Level Four Hospital.

Charles Omwaye, according to area chief, Joel Owenga was roughed up by Dol Kodera and Opok Legio Maria church members who were at his home on Friday night for a prayer meeting.

They were there for a prayer session but the deceased declined to join them as he was a Catholic faithful.

Mr Omwaye retired to bed early, leaving his second wife and children to attend the meeting, that started without him.

But it is during the prayer session that the ‘holy spirit’ directed one of the clerics to get the 64 year old from bed and assault him for not joining in the service.

Six suspects are in police custody, Homa Bay Police Commander Marius Tum disclosed.
