Luke Mitchell is an Australian actor and model born on April 17, 1985, on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Growing up with dreams of becoming a professional tennis player, he played the sport competitively from age five until nineteen, when he shifted his focus to acting.
Mitchell’s journey into acting began with training at the Film and Television Studio International in Melbourne, followed by work with the entertainment company Sudden Impact Entertainment, where he performed in live theater across Australia.

Career
Mitchell’s acting career took off in 2008 with his debut role as Chris Knight in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, where he appeared in 11 episodes.
This early role led to his casting as Will Benjamin in the third season of the popular teen fantasy series H2O: Just Add Water, filmed on the Gold Coast.
His breakout role came in 2009 when he joined the cast of Home and Away as Romeo Smith, a heartthrob character he portrayed until 2013.
Mitchell transitioned to American television in 2013, starring as John Young in The CW’s science fiction series The Tomorrow People.
In 2015, he joined Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Lincoln Campbell, an Inhuman, starting as a recurring character in the second season and becoming a series regular in the third.
He further expanded his U.S. presence with a main role as Roman in NBC’s Blindspot starting in 2016.
Mitchell’s versatility shone through in subsequent roles, including Captain John “Abe” Abraham in CBS’s The Code (2019), Danny Cooper in The CW’s The Republic of Sarah (2021), Ken in Legacies (2022), and Cormac in Big Sky (2022).
More recently, he has appeared as Dr. Mitch Ripley in Chicago Med, with an expanded role in the show’s tenth season.
His film credits include the gay-themed romantic comedy Performance Anxiety (2008), Without Remorse (2021), and the Hallmark movie A Pinch of Portugal (2023).
