For the past two months of their existence, MGTV has captured the imagination of the industry followers with their High Definition (HD) coverage of matches involving National Super League side Wazito FC.

The Shield is the biggest knockout football tournament in the country run by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and the winner represents Kenya in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Managing Director, Tony Munyao, revealed to Kahawa Tungu Sports Desk their future plans which include making MGTV 24-hour sports and entertainment Free to Air channel.

“In March this Recardo called me and he was frustrated that he could watch Wazito games while he was out of Kenya, so an idea to stream Wazito games was born, we saw the market reaction and we decided to go big and produce a full packaged game in HD, our plan is to glow and fight for top local TV rights in Kenya,” Munyao said.
