    Man Found Dead After Suspected Murder In Gucha, Kisii

    Police are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found floating in a river in Gucha, Kisii County.

    The body was found floating on river Kuja at Nyambunde Bridge long after the murder.

    It was established that there were visible injuries on the head, which would have been inflicted by a blunt object.

    The neck of the man appeared to have been strangled.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations, police said of the April 29 incident.

    Elsewhere in Msambweni, Kwale County, a woman died by suicide in an incident.

    The body was found dangling on a piece of cloth that was tied around the neck on a tree in Marigiza village.

    She was identified as Hadija Mwalimu, 32 and a single mother of three.

    The residents further added that the deceased had earlier attempted suicide several times.

    The motive was not immediately known and the body was moved to the Msambweni County Referral Hospital mortuary pending postmortem.

    Meanwhile, a man was killed in Uyawi sub-location, Bondo in an attempted robbery incident.

    The man was lynched by a mob after he attacked and stabbed a bodaboda rider in the area.

    It was established that on April 26 at around 9 pm a woman was being ridden on a motorcyclist when they were waylaid by a man who emerged from a thicket.

    The attacker stabbed the man identified as Mark Oracha as the mother screamed for help.

    Neighbours responded swiftly, and the suspect was subjected to mob injustice killing him.

    The injured are admitted at Bondo Sub-County Hospital in fair condition, while the body of the deceased was taken to Bondo Sub-County Hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy and identification.

    In Nzambani, Kitui County, a man was found dead outside his house after murder.

    The body of Charles Musyoka, 68 was found lying outside his house long after the murder.

    Blood was oozing from his mouth, ear and nose at the time of the discovery, police said.

    No physical injury was noted at the scene and the body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy, police said.
