    Man punches uncle to death in domestic fight in Umoja

    A man succumbed to injuries he sustained during a fight with his nephew in Umoja area, Nairobi.

    The deceased was identified as Stephen Nganga, 45.

    The assailant had arrived home and picked up a quarrel with the deceased which went physical, police said.

    It is not clear what triggered the altercation on October 15. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed two days later.

    Police were called to the hospital as the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

    Police said efforts to trace the assailant are ongoing.

    Elsewhere in Makindu, Makueni County, a man aged 80 was hit and killed by his son in a domestic fight.

    Police said the incident happened in Kalii village and left Julius Maundu Ndunda dead. He and his son aged 55 had fought before he used a blunt object to hit his father in the head fatally.

    The assailant was arrested at the scene pending prosecution on October 21, 2025 for murder, police said.

    Elsewhere in Gatuanyaga, Kiambu County, a man aged 18 died after being assaulted by a mob over claims he stole a bicycle.

    Police said Fazul Noor Ismael succumbed to the injuries while being attended to at the emergency bay at a local hospital.

    Police were called to the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Efforts to trace the suspects linked to the murder are ongoing, police said.

    In Kiandutu area, Thika County, one Peter Macharia Ng’ang’a died after being hit by a building block within the Elgrigo area.

    It was established that the deceased was cementing the outside veranda when a building block fell from the building under construction and hit him on the head.

    Police said he was rushed to Thika nursing home for treatment but he was declared dead on arrival.

    His body was transferred to General Kago morgue awaiting autopsy and preservation.
