    Man stabbed and killed in fight in bar in Maili Saba, Trans Nzoia County

    A 21-year-old man was stabbed and killed in a fight in a bar in Maili Saba, Trans Nzoia County.

    A second man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was also stabbed in the fight on Monday morning.

    A brawl had broken out at the Mkulima Bar in Emoru area when the incident happened.

    Sila Wanyoike Mwaura was stabbed in the femoral vein and died on arrival at a local hospital. The second victim was stabbed in the lower abdomen and left upper arm and treated at a local hospital.

    Police responded to the scene later on and arrested two suspects in connection with the incident. The killer weapon was also recovered.

    It is not clear what triggered the fight, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    And detectives in Wajir Town are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found in an open ground.

    Police said the body had been dragged to the scene from a primary murder scene.

    The motive of the murder was not immediately known. The unidentified body was moved to the mortuary pending an identification and autopsy.

    In Metkei, Elgeyo Marakwet County, a man was fatally assaulted during a traditional circumcision event. He was identified as Nathan Kipyator Mutai, 35.

    Police said they are looking for the suspects behind the murder. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

    In Kitui’s Migwani area, one Simon Musumbi, 20 was found dead after a suspected drowning incident.

    His body was found in an embankment along the Kitulani Kwa Veke seasonal river, police said.

    In Embu’s Kianjokoma area, a boy aged one and half years drowned in river Kamwangi. The child had been playing outside their home when he strayed to the river. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
